"Uma Karuna" is ready for some bluewater adventuring! This Bob Perry designed Islander Freeport 38C is a spacious and comfortable cruiser with many innovative design features that are still common on vessels being built today.   The raised salon with large windows keeps the cabin bright and gives you a great view from within.  A feature such as a spacious midships cabin containing a large Pullman berth and ample storage enables extended time aboard in comfort.  A favorite feature that is unique to the Freeport & I-38C is the fold down transom which provides a luxurious swim ladder that leads into a large cockpit which is equipped with a full enclosure for those odd inclement days on our coast.    

Although big and spacious is great, this boat has a proven underbody comprising of a cruising fin keel and skeg hung rudder which will give you directional stability, rudder protection and a forgiving motion at sea. She is powered with a newer Yanmar diesel engine (2015) and outfitted for cruising: Spectra 200T water maker, Blue Sky solar panel and regulator, Raymarine Integrated electronics system, Cape Horn self steering vane, and electric Lofrans Kobra windlass.

She will make a great local Channel Island Cruiser, liveaboard or a comfortable platform to explore the distant horizon. There were not many of the Islander 38Cs produced and they are not in our market often.
