$149,900 | 1998 | Dana Point, CA
Description
Tiara Yachts, a family-owned American company, has been crafting high-quality vessels for over six decades, establishing a well-deserved reputation for their unwavering commitment to innovation, performance, and meticulous craftsmanship. This legacy of excellence serves as the foundation for the design and engineering of the 3500 Express, a vessel that embodies the core values and dedication to quality that define Tiara Yachts.
Founded in 1955 by Leon Slikkers, Tiara Yachts began as a small, family-owned company with a passion for boat building. Over the years, the company has remained true to its roots, with the Slikkers family still at the helm and actively involved in the day-to-day operations. This continuity of leadership and dedication to family values has fostered a culture of craftsmanship, ensuring that every Tiara yacht is built to the highest standards.
Tiara Yachts’ in-house design and engineering teams, in collaboration with renowned naval architects and marine engineers, meticulously develop each new model to meet the specific needs and preferences of their discerning clientele. This collaborative approach ensures that every Tiara yacht, including the 3500 Express, offers an exceptional blend of performance, style, and functionality.
The 3500 Express is a testament to this unwavering commitment to design excellence. Its striking exterior, characterized by sleek lines and a timeless profile, showcases the careful attention to detail that has become synonymous with the Tiara Yachts brand. The vessel’s design thoughtfully balances form and function, ensuring it remains visually appealing while delivering exceptional performance on the water.
The 3500 Express features a composite hull that is crafted using hand-laid fiberglass, featuring a combination of woven roving and multi-directional knitted fabric. This layered approach enhances the hull’s strength and resilience while maintaining the desired weight for optimal performance.
Incorporating a solid fiberglass bottom, the hull provides added durability and protection from impact, ensuring that the vessel can handle various sea conditions with confidence. This composite construction technique in the hull allows for increased longevity, as well as better resistance to osmotic blistering compared to older manufacturing methods.
Robust Structural Components
The Tiara 3500 Express’s structural components, such as bulkheads and stringers are engineered to provide maximum strength and rigidity. These components are often constructed using marine-grade plywood, which is encapsulated in fiberglass to protect against water intrusion and deterioration. This helps ensure the vessel’s overall integrity and contributes to its durability over time.
The 3500 Express also features robust engine mounts and drive systems, designed to handle the power and torque generated by its twin diesel engines. These systems ensure efficient power transfer to the boat’s propulsion components, resulting in optimal performance and enhanced reliability.
A scaled-down version of Tiaras popular 4000 Open, the 3500 Express is a high-style family cruiser with impressive accommodations and an upscale price tag. She's heavily built on a beamy modified-V hull with a shallow keel and prop pockets to reduce the draft. The interior is huge for a 35-footer thanks to her super-wide beam. The big lounge next to the cockpit steps can be converted into a private stateroom at night, and both sleeping areas have folding privacy doors instead of curtains. A removable pedestal seat allows the dinette to seat five, and a nighttime lighting system activates when you step on the top companionway step. All in all, this is easily one of the nicest interiors we have seen in any midsize express. Additional features include a teak cabin sole, a huge storage trunk built into the transom, single-level cockpit seating for eight, and an optional 4-foot swim platform for stowing an inflatable or PWC. Optional 370hp V-drive Cummins diesels will cruise the Tiara 3500 at 24 knots (2728 knots top), and 420hp Cummins (or 435hp Cat) diesels cruise in the mid 20s and reach a top speed of around 30 knots.
Pau Hana's Interior is simply stunning and must be seen in person to appreciate . The boat has had the same owner for 25 years with only 650 original hours on her . Major Price Reduction to $ 149,900 4/1/25 !
